DAF nella piattaforma globale per la prenotazione delle stazioni di ricarica

DAF Trucks è entrata a far parte di HDV Booking, un consorzio che sta lavorando alla creazione di una piattaforma per la prenotazione delle stazioni di ricarica pubbliche per veicoli industriali in Europa. Ciò aumenterà ulteriormente la possibilità di utilizzo dei veicoli DAF completamente elettrici, in particolare per i trasporti a lungo raggio.

DAF Trucks joins the HDV Booking consortium to increase fully electric long-distance transport capacity, such as with the DAF XF Electric range.

HDV Booking is a new consortium that includes charging providers, card reader systems, software developers and transporters. It is working on a platform that will enable transporters to find and book available charging points. This will facilitate more efficient planning and routing for electric vehicles. Accurate charging planning helps to limit waiting times and enable longer routes, including international ones. HDV Booking aims to be operational across Europe in 2026.

“An efficient and well-functioning booking system requires all electric vehicles, charging points and planning software to be interconnected,” says Bart Bosmans, Director Marketing & Sales and member of the Board of Management at DAF Trucks. “The ability to take into account factors such as traffic congestion and driver rest periods will lead to optimal use of the public charging infrastructure and electric vehicles.”

With the XD and XF Electric, DAF has the perfect vehicles for long distances, thanks to a zero-emission range of up to 500 kilometres. This limit can be further extended to 1,000 kilometres per day, for example by charging the battery packs during driver breaks. “Knowing the availability of public charging stations is an important step towards using electric vehicles for long-haul transport,” emphasises Bart Bosmans. “DAF’s participation in HDV Booking also underlines our position as a partner in the energy transition. After all, in addition to a complete range of electric vehicles, we also offer our customers charging stations, expert advice and specific training.”
